Who we are

for collectors, by collectors

The Lost Zone is run by two Pokémon collectors from the Netherlands. We know what it feels like to hunt for that one missing card, so we built the shop we would want to buy from ourselves.

We buy complete collections from all over Europe, sort them card by card and list every single on Cardmarket. That is why you will find cards in several languages, from bulk commons to chase cards, with new stock added all the time.

Because every order runs through Cardmarket, you always pay securely via the platform. On orders over €25, Cardmarket’s Trustee Service holds your payment until you confirm your cards have arrived.

Quality

graded honestly, card by card

Condition is everything when you buy singles online. Every card is inspected by hand before it is listed and graded on Cardmarket’s own scale: Mint, Near Mint, Excellent, Good, Light Played, Played or Poor. We check the front and the back for:

  • Corners – sharp, or showing wear?
  • Edges – any whitening or nicks?
  • Surface – scratches, print lines or dents?
  • Centering – how even are the borders?

If a card sits between two grades, we list it as the lower one. That way, what arrives is never worse than what you ordered.

Shipping

how we pack your cards

Cards are fragile, so every order goes through the same four careful steps.

Illustration of how The Lost Zone packs your cards in four steps: sleeve, stiff cardboard taped shut, bubble-lined mailer and shipping label
1. sleeve

A soft sleeve protects the surface against scratches and fingerprints.

2. cardboard

Stiff cardboard on both sides keeps your cards flat, neatly taped shut.

3. bubble mailer

Everything goes into a mailer lined with bubble wrap, against bumps in the post.

4. shipping label

A neat shipping label goes on the envelope, so your order finds its way to you.
